It’s important to pay attention to the differences between: used to X to be used to.

  • used to
    It’s an habit you did it before, but you don’t do it anymore.


Examples:

I used to play soccer at school when I was a child.
She used to play with water during her childhood.

  • to be used to
    We use it in the present tense to say that we are accustomed to things happening theses days.


Examples:

I am used to rude people… like you.
He is used to washing the dishes every day.
